Director of AOHD, Teo Kar Im, in her opening address, highlighted that the empowerment programme was a response to concerns raised by the clergy regarding the increase in requests for financial assistance and the many displaced persons due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the first module, “Foundations to be a Successful Entrepreneur,” participants engaged in several interactive “games” where they could identify several business competencies and become aware of the importance of having the right mindset and attitude. They went on to the drawing board to design their dream board and later to chart their goals using the SMART principles.
