“We have partnered with Sigma Phi Epsilon for 73 years, and we support their decision to close the chapter effective immediately,” UM said.

A University of Miami frat was shut down after allegations that members drugged drinks and took part in ugly chants at a rager earlier this month surfaced, according to reports.according to NBC South Florida.

“The National Headquarters received admissible information that SigEp members violated policy and engaged in actions that are not aligned with the values of this Fraternity,” Sigma Phi Epsilon chief communication officer Heather Matthews said in a statement to NBC South Florida. The Miami Hurricane obtained video of the incident which they said backed up the accusation but did not post it online.

Another girl, who only went by Mary and is in a sorority, said she heard about similar allegations in a group text with other sorority sisters, the student newspaper reported.Sigma Phi Epsilon hosted the “Adult Swim” party on Oct. 1.
