Do you remember the name of the teacher who influenced the trajectory of your career? The one who changed the way you see the world? The one who helped you become a better human? The one who challenged you to move out of your comfort zone?

In the spirit of acknowledging the work that teachers put in shaping future economies, WorldRemit last year began a programme in Ghana aimed at putting a smile on teachers by paying tribute to them. Students shared stories about how their teachers prepared them to conquer the world in different sectors.

And because education’s main impact is often seen through the lens of improvement to societies, participants were asked to submit their videos through social media under the hashtag
