Former Dawson High School student Ty Manning, who turned 18 on Thursday, is facing multiple charges of invasive recording, and now two unrelated charges of possession of child pornography, after police say he inappropriately photographed unknowing female students and posted some of those pictures on explicit websites.
This investigation has taken place throughout much of this year, with Manning initially turning himself into Pearland Police in May. At that time, one female student he had photographed and posted online was identified and pressed invasive recording charges against Manning.Police searched it earlier this month and identified two other female students photographed unknowingly by Manning.
Additionally, since obtaining that search warrant, police say they found two images of young children on Manning's phone, which is why he faces those two charges of possession of child pornography. Pearland ISD says the now-18-year-old is no longer a student at the district, and added that he was punished at the beginning of the investigation, but wouldn't provide any further details due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
Manning, who turned himself into Pearland Police for the most recent charges Friday morning, has bonded out of jail.
