Two hundred beds of unused student accommodation at Griffith University's Mt Gravatt campus will be converted into crisis accommodation, as stakeholders and the state government look at ways to tackle Queensland's housing crisis.

"We are now going to work with them over the next six months to make these rooms available to people and service providers," she said. Griffith University approached the Queensland government after identifying vacant student accommodation at its Mount Gravatt campus.
