He said they already have more than 140 students registered and he expects that number to climb following the long weekend. Fellow Kinsman member Joe Curry said the program was started by the late Martin Schwartz, a local science teacher who donated $2,500 in memory of his wife Ida to the former New Waterford Family Resource Centre. When the centre closed, the Kinsmen took over the program, which is marking its 24th year.
