Duterte-Carpio said she will also release a department order that will mandate only co-curricular and academic activities for this school year, with extra-curricular activities to be prohibited. “We built a list to identify the extra-curricular and to identify co-curricular ,” the Vice President said.“We’re here to check up on you and remind you that we need to focus on academics for our students to catch up on the learning losses during the two years that they didn’t have in-person classes,” Duterte-Carpio said during her visit at the Don Pedro Vasquez Memorial School.
She also said some traditional school activities will not push through this year as DepEd’s direction is to prioritize the academic development of the students.
