While vaccines can certainly still help prevent severe outcomes, particularly in older and immunocompromised populations, to broadly mandate them is an infringement on individual rights. We also know COVID’s risk to younger Canadians is small while this same population is at increased risk, however small, for some vaccine side effects.

If your a student do not comply, show up to class , if you want to wear a mask go ahead if you don’t then don’t. They have no basis to enforce this as it it not the law.

If you want to explore this further this whole push is coming from the faculty association and the provost westernuProvost and one VP. The president, Alan Shepard has been notably silent on all of this. Mind you it's a poorly guarded secret that he had a vaccine injury.
Vaccine mandates have not all but disappeared. My husband was terminated in March due to mandates and most job postings in his field require vaccination. If you thought being denied an education was bad, what about the breadwinner for a family losing a career?
