“To get a chance to do what I love, in the city that I was born and raised, is an amazing opportunity. I feel like we’re in a really good place.” Saint Mary’s has missed the playoffs its previous two seasons, including a 1-5 last-place record in 2021. Colzie resigned in April. Sumarah said the program will need to patiently build a foundation which he hopes will cultivate a winning culture.
