KwaZulu-Natal pupils should wear their traditional attire to school on Tuesday to celebrate new Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini Zulu.

The provincial education department on Wednesday issued a circular stating that August 30 would be a day for schools to celebrate and honour the king.“It is in that regard that the MEC for education In KwaZulu-Natal, Mbali Frazer, is dedicating Tuesday as a day for schools and the department to celebrate this historic event.

The MEC is, therefore, requesting all schools in the province to participate in this celebration by encouraging all teachers and all other employees to wear their traditional attire on Tuesday,” the department said. The circular said Frazer was committed to working with the king in pursuit of quality public education in the province.

“That is part of the department's dedication and honour to the late King Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu, the patron of education, who dedicated his time and resources towards transformation of education in the province.”

I see no problem with this, I saw DA is against it but in the so called their schools they still don't allow our children to wear isiphandla and other traditional activities not allowed 🏌️

If it pleases them the Zulu nation, nothing wrong with that 😍

We can not lost as Africans Reloaded on GoD

Fact Reloaded on GoD

Only in Africa.

Bayde wena wendlovu🙌🏾🙌🏾

Is it only the amazulus who reside in kzn though.

Nothing wrong about it is only one day not a norm

It should be the whole country and not only in KZN and also a public holiday must be in stated in honor of the King- King Misuzulu kaZwelithini day

This need to be applauded it is called self-love, our traditions are not only important on a heritage day only, it should be a common practice

Only in KZN, just imagine the whole country wearing those things

Do you get a pocket sewn into your endangered animal skin to carry your cell phone and wallet? Sounds cool. 😂🤣😆

Bayede

ANC KZN has started by all means to try and be close to King MisuZulu because of votes. Most tradition following Zulu People were not happy with how MisuZulu was treated by Sihle Zikalala last year.Punishment in 2021 elections was one of the tools. ANC must loose power in 2024

Viva amaZulu🏆

AKUBENJALO!

Hayi niyanya ke ngoku, why they must wear traditional at school, whoever made a call for that nonsense should be called into order
