Obviously the people complaining about this have never attended post secondary in Canada, or had to take out a student loan to do so. Graduates automatically get loan forgiveness; you also get to write off a significant amount of your tuition on your taxes.

Cancelling student debt is a tax on the most responsible people in the country. There are people who sacrificed and saved to pay for their kid's education while others, spent, travelled, and bought and did not pay back the loans get subsidized. This is how Democrats buy votes.
