Cancelling their debt is like spitting in the face of those who couldn't go to college and have to work lower paying jobs. He is buying votes.
They do not want $10,000. They want all debt erased. But what about the people who could not afford college, so they got a tax paying job instead?
It isn't debt forgiveness. The colleges have bee paid. It just means that the poorer cohort in the US needs to pay over more to the richer cohort to co er college debt which the poorer cohort could not afford in the first place.
