The University of St. Thomas is reviewing its hiring process after allegations that its former business school dean who had ties to a former pope faked his way into the top position.

"While these ratings do not capture all the improvements our students have made since the start of the pandemic, they do show that significant growth has taken place," FBISD Superintendent Dr. Christie Whitbeck said in a statement."In this school year and beyond, we will continue our work to close the gaps in learning and support all our students. I commend those campuses that increased their performance by an entire letter grade or more.

Of Fort Bend ISD's 77 schools, 22 schools improved by at least one letter grade, compared to the 2018-19 scores. Hunters Glen Elementary in Missouri City jumped from a C to an A during this round of TEA ratings. Ridgemont Elementary in Houston received a B after receiving a D in the 2018-19 reportFORT BEND INSIDER:McAuliffe Middle School, and Marshall and Willowridge high schools did not receive ratings for the 2021-22 school year due to receiving scores less than 70.

"We will not necessarily subject campuses to interventions," Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath said at a media briefing."They do not formally receive a D or F rating because we want to make sure the system has time to recover."
