University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has moved up to the fifth position in the July 2022 ranking of Nigerian universities, barely one

year after Prof. Owunari Georgewill became the vice-chancellor.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Sam Kpenu, quoted Georgewill as saying: “The new ranking confirms that the hard work of UNIPORT is recognised and valued.”
