“You know … I’m proud of what our guys did, and it was an enjoyable run,” he added. “I’m really proud of what we did, but I’m definitely a little sour toward the school.”The East Pennsboro School District told PennLive back in July that “the decision has been made by the district administration to open the position and accept new applicants, as our athletic contracts are year-to-year.”Comp said then that he didn’t feel like it all made sense, and that he felt “disrespected.
“I ended up benching him,” Comp said. “The dad got mad, and said they were going to the school board.” Comp said shortly after that he received what he claimed was his first performance evaluation since he had been at the school. He said he felt like his team, with 10 first-year letter winners, overachieved in what he believed would be a rebuilding year. But he said the evaluation did not reflect that and, instead, he received “low scores.” He said among the complaints listed were that he “didn’t support kids’ college aspirations.
