The Alliance of Concerned Teachers slammed the Department of Education’s last-minute release of the P5,000 financial assistance for all public school teachers. | BPinlacINQ

“Sobrang delayed na ng P5,000 teachers’ allowance. Nagpatung-patong na ang abono ng mga guro sa Brigada Eskwela, hindi pa dumarating ang cash allowance,” he said in a statement.

Quetua also pointed out that this amount is insufficient to get the teachers through the school year. Quetua also pushed for an increase in the said cash allowance, arguing that learning materials needed by teachers have significantly changed over the years.

Dapat taasan ang cash allowance kahit man lamang P10,000,” he further explained.ACT earlier pleaded for the Congress and the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
