Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, has said that the government will not pay the salaries of lecturers within the six months of non-academic activities. The minister said ASUU had not called off the strike because of their demand that all salaries during the industrial action be paid, a request he said the government turned down. Adamu also advised the university students to sue the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) for compensation for the time wasted during the strike.

There is one thing I don't understand I don't know how they talk without reasoning The situation of this nation is BAD but they can still pay their own huge salaries but they can't pay ASUU And they have the guts and conscience to still tell them 'NO WORK NO PAY'

Can't this union be disbanded? Is causing alot of bad than good. Our children the children of the poor have been home, many of them are graduating late and when they come out looking for jobs , the employers will be given them, not more than 25years, this is bad.

Truly what there use to hold us is hunger..ASUU has demands, this demands has not been met, u kept them hungry for months, come.bck to negotiate that u will pay dem for the months not paid for them to return back to classes, now did u meet their demands? unserious ppl

Go and acquire Skills ooo

This is what the minister wants to use to incite the masses against ASUU, while you have failed to meet and fulfill th obligation of payment of salary for the services rendered by these lecturers and also fail to convince them to go back to class without payment

How will ASUU call off the strike when the FG is tasking the student to sue ASUU.

How will ASUU

Otidaa make Una continue this Strike

We are just mad in this country for real make everybody rest till next year after election government oo everybody federal uni students should go and learn work and get money
