Adamu Adamu, minister of education, says students affected by the industrial action of the Academic Staff Union of Universities should sue the union.
As of Thursday, the strike clocked 185 days – a development that has left students, parents and other stakeholders frustrated. “We are all hit by this strike action, perhaps because students have to spend an extra one year or two, you can say, they are worst hit. If you had the chance, or the capacity to measure the effect of that on the economy, the economy is also a victim, parents are also victims,” he said.
Adamu also said the lecturers will not be paid salaries for the six months they are absent from work.
It is unfortunate that you have not given this strike all the attention it deserves. I’ve seen you globe trotting in the face of this strike.Yet PMB for reasons best known to him and him only had not thought it fit to show you the door.

Sue ASUU for? You can't force individuals to teach, especially when there is a breach of an agreement (contact) btw them & govt. If anything the practice of tortious liability goes to deeper pockets (vicariously), which ultimately lead to a suit against govt. Savy?

The govt has been clumsy & inept in handling the ASUU strike. It reneged on an existing agreement, totally rejected it's own Briggs Committee renegotiated draft & imposed a completely new salary schedule. It is now absolving itself of blame while inciting students against ASUU.

The lectures should double there teaching time, do you no that for that past 6 months you lost, they will be paid. So promotion should be granted and final years student should all be attending double time classes and no body should fail. You are looking at the govt 2/3
