Two men fired several shots on a street in Far Rockaway Monday around 5:00p.m. One shot struck Jabeon Bivins in the head, who died at the scenePolice are searching for two suspects who opened fire on a crowded street in Queens, killing a 24-year-old former high school basketball star from Long Island.

The two men fired several shots at the city-run Redfern Houses on Redfern Avenue in Far Rockaway around 5 p.m. Monday.One bullet struck 24-year-old Jabeon Bivins in the head, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.It is unclear what led to the shooting or why Bivens, who lives in Hempstead, was at the NYCHA complex.The suspects were last seen wearing hooded sweatshirts, one red and one white.
