Police are seeking the public's help to identify a man who allegedly assaulted a girl on school grounds in Adelaide's south-western suburbs.

Police say the incident happening on school grounds was concerninggrabbed a female student at Glenelg Primary SchoolThe student reported the man pulled her by the right wrist from the first floor of the main building, down the stairs.Detectives have scoured the area for security footage and spoken extensively with students, staff and parents but have yet to find witnesses to the incident.

Police released a computer-generated image of the suspect, who is being described as about 180cm tall and bald.He was wearing a knee-length light-blue shirt, black pants and black disposable face mask and was carrying a black beanie. The victim reported the man had purple nail polish on one of his thumbs and wore a distinctive ring on his painted thumb, which was described as being black in colour with bright dots.Police are asking the public to contact Crime Stoppers with information about the man or the incident.
