REPORT: A total of 376 officers responded to the Robb Elementary School shooting and that the failure of police to go into the classroom while a gunman killed children inside was the result of “systemic failures and egregious poor decision making.”

was the result of"systemic failures and egregious poor decision making" among every law enforcement agency that responded, according to a highly anticipated report by Texas lawmakers released Sunday.

Initial accounts had placed the blame for the delay in the response largely on Uvalde school police commissioner, the incident commander who Texas Public Safety Commissioner Steven McCraw said was responsible for the law enforcement response. But Sunday's report said the failure extended beyond Arredondo.

"The void of leadership could have contributed to the loss of life as injured victims waited over an hour for help, and the attacker continued to sporadically fire his weapon," the report said. The report also said that there was a"relaxed vigilance" on the school campus about intruders, with at least one classroom being known for being unlocked. On the day of the shooting, no one had locked the three exterior doors

Law enforcement officials conducted interviews with family members, examined data on the shooter's phone and provided testimony to Texas lawmakers. He shot his grandmother before the attack on the school.

aka 'cowardice'

It's sheer cowardness and zero ethics and morality. Poor children's and teachers died in vain! All Uvalde police department & Govt bodies must be fully dissolved and start with fresh blood & accountable code of conduct.

were charges ever filed against the slain teacher's husband who was detained by fellow officers? if so, have those charges been dropped? was he detained under false pretense to keep him from confronting the gunman?

So you had all that firepower to kill 1 man in minutes but backdown and got scared? Waste of taxpayers money!!!

Simply put….the entire coalition of Uvalde Police that failed their duties are forever now called “Cowards!”

Awareness will NEVER be enough. The world will continue to gain more chaos. Your posting/tweeting is not ever going to bring life back or save future ones. Go change the government. Change EVERYTHING. Your “politicians” are just humans desperate to live in comfort, just like us.

376 armed “trained” law enforcement officers can’t contain one armed person in one facility. See the problem here?

Jim_Zakany I feel like we all knew this the next day.

376 officers……and 22 people still died.

Publish their names.

Wait until they get the overtime bill……

376 'good guys with guns' in Uvalde, NRA.

All those 376 officers should be let go from the force. If your afraid to go after the assailant you don't need to have a gun or badge.

Sad, and a tragic failure by law enforcement 😢

This is totally disgusting and horrendous!

I hope those families sue every one of these groups and that school district into bankruptcy

Did they “get their man?”

First yall dont want cops shooting anyone, then yall wanted social workers to show up,then yall wanted to defund the police, now yall complain that cops didn't just start spaying bullets inside a school

Nobody has resigned and nobody has been indicated.
