‘Systemic failures’ in Uvalde school massacre, report finds READ MORE:

FILE - Reggie Daniels pays his respects a memorial at Robb Elementary School on June 9, 2022, in Uvalde, Texas. Nearly 400 law enforcement officials rushed to the mass shooting that left 21 people dead at the elementary school but systemic failures created a chaotic scene that lasted more than an hour before the gunman was finally confronted and killed, according to a report from investigators released Sunday, July 17, 2022.

According to the report, 376 law enforcement officers massed at the school. The overwhelming majority of those who responded were federal and state law enforcement. That included nearly 150 U.S. Border Patrol agents and 91 state police officials. A spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety did not immediately return a request for comment Sunday.

Flowers that had been piled high in the city’s central square had been removed as of Sunday, leaving a few stuffed animal maps scattered around the fountains alongside photos of some of the children who were killed. No single officer has received as much scrutiny since the shooting as Pete Arredondo, the Uvalde school district police chief who resigned from his newly appointed seat on the City Council after the shooting.

A nearly 80-minute hallway surveillance video published by the Austin American-Statesman this week publicly showed for the first time a hesitant and haphazard tactical response, which the head of Texas’ state police has condemned as a failure and some Uvalde residents have blasted as cowardly.Calls for police accountability have grown in Uvalde since the shooting. So far, only one officer from the scene of the deadliest school shooting in Texas history is known to be on leave.

The systemic failure starts with GregAbbott_TX who praised law enforcement for their job in Uvalde and now is silent. If Abbott cared one dime about this, he would have already taken action. But, like the coward he is, he is hiding. Because that is the only thing he does well.

THIS.

And how many people have been fired so far?

The largest systematic failure of all was that a disturbed young man was allowed to purchase an AR 15 style rifle and ammunition.

I’m not making any excuses for the lack of action by police officers. But shouldn’t the 1 concern be… How is an 18 year old, who has never shot a gun, with the nickname “school shooter,” able to purchase an assault weapon with thousands of rounds? BanAssaultWeapons

MURICA!!! FREEDOM!!! 🇺🇸💪🇺🇸💪🇺🇸

Will our Gov't infringe on the 2nd Amendment due to a Systemic Failure?

'Systematic failures?' I'd call it COWARDICE.

Along with school staff not keeping the building locked. That's the first thing we're trained to do as teachers.

They just sat there & let those children die. Whether because they didn’t care enough about those children, or because they just lacked the courage & the skills to handle the situation, it’s still a failure responsible for their deaths.

Wow ! You are kidding right

Typical of Texas to avoid quality testing of systems... we have so many engineers in petrochemical, and no one interested in crunching numbers in fields that actually save people....

I understand the police failures but please follow up on the school system failures to lock the doors that awful day, and the bullying of the student in 4th grade at this school - what early intervention was done then? Or was he left to fend for himself ?

🙄 Systemic failure, my big toe. Cowards is more like it. 😑

Film The Police shirts

Can we please stop talking about this shit there is other stuff going on as we speak damn let's not make an O.J. Simpson case out of this crap and no I'm not giving up my Guns period 😤

what else can you expect to happen when you elect people to the government who openly don’t believe in government

Damage control for midterms to cover up the corrupt GOP murdering our children for NRA blood money. GOP laws cost these innocent children their lives & the laws the GOP blocked would save them. Abbott, DeSantis & the rest of the GOP will continue until stopped.

It’s missing a KEY WORD… SystemicRacismFailure GeorgeFloyd You don’t just LET people die on accident….. unless… There was a PLAN to be purposely indifferent & aloof..

Why have we not started [redacted] as many cops as we possibly can? I literally think that the mass [redacted] of police is the only solution left. All police have to go, one way or the other.

Who can forget GovAbbott and tedCruz sitting with all the Uvalde importants telling us how very brave the police were. What courage. What humanity. What boldness. Haven't heard from either.

It doesn’t take a 77 page report to know one person was responsible for killing innocent children and two teachers. Say his fuking name. SalvadorRamos

If only Beto were our Governor for the police would have charged the shooter and killed Him before he killed the children if Beto were our Governor! And then Texans would have cheered Beto and Beto would have provided air conditioning for all

Bull💩!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ektaka I guess there wasn’t even one “good guy with a gun” willing to save those children. And people actually believe Republican propaganda about keeping children safe.

ektaka You mean, willful refusal to their jobs, right? All 400 officers should lose their jobs.

RilwanReports call the cowards the 'Uvalde 400'

Pleas clarify the use of the word shooters. We’re there more than one or do you need a better proofreader? “he treated the shooters as “barricaded subject,' according to the report, and defended never treating the scene as an active-shooter situation”

In other news, water is wet and grass is green. These guys were cowards. They were afraid of being killed so were willing to stay outside, listening to kids' screams after being shot. That's cowardice. That's neglect. That should be criminal!

UVALDE SCHOOL SHOOTING PT1 🚔 Is There A Police Cover-Up ?! Robb Elementary 🍎 PSYCHIC READING 2022

'No balls' Pedro “Pete” Arredondo is responsible for most of these children's deaths.

But only police govt and criminals should have firearms 🤔🤣

Brain freeze

“Back the blue” simps NEED to understand that in the year 2022, cops serve their govt masters & not the constitution or the people. They’ll ALL obey ANY order their given, including the order to stand down as kids were being murdered. Did y’all pay attention during Covid?

💔💔💔

Systemic failures by Boomer cops in Ulvade

Will they ever fix these systemic failures. Because they just make up shit as they go to cover their asses.

😡😡😡😡😡😥😥😥😥😥

Systemic failures? More like criminal negligence resulting in death.

Can someone tell me how police inaction deals with hun control? Also, while your at it how did that kid get his hands on 10 grand worth of weapons? Asking for a friend…

How about they were all COWARDS!!! It’s that simple

Police Chief Pete Arredondo will see Prison time. He is responsible for telling his officers to stand down for 77 minutes. When other agencies arrived on site Arredondo provided them false information so they also would stand down.

Feds working over time to let a national tragedy happen Orchestrated by the elites of the country using it to control people

Sounds like our leadership of our country !

Instead...We continue to blame police for not sacrificing their own lives to save others. We literally do not pay them enough to lay down their own lives to an active shooter and BTW...they certainly HAVE THE RIGHT to feel scared.

‘Systemic failures’ in Uvalde school massacre, report finds'Systemic failures' created a chaotic scene that lasted more than an hour before the gunman was finally confronted and killed at a Uvalde elementary school, according to a report from investigators. Police will use force immediately when they stop for simple traffic violations. Why they are unable to stop this crime n waited so long in hallway Are they investigating if water is wet as well? 🤔 Not having copies of their MOUs, I would think “original jurisdiction” would go to the ISD police, and therefore, Chief Arredondo. I’ve posted earlier about “concurrent jurisdiction” if anyone cares to look, but it seems like “it’s on him” as they say. ziman_kristen -
