As of today, it is now 100 days until the Oct. 24 civic and school board election date

Today marks 100 days until the Oct. 24 municipal and school board election, and the city is reminding people to check the voters’ list.

Residents can visit voterlookup.ca to make sure they are on the list and that their personal information is correct. The lists for federal, provincial and municipal elections are not all the same, which is why the city is urging people to make sure their information is up to date, which will save voters time on election day.

Nominations for candidates will remain open until Aug. 19, with 41 candidates to date registering for the offices of mayor, ward councillor and school board trustee. Some races do not yet have any candidates. The full list of candidates can be found online at greatersudbury.ca/elections/2022-candidates.

This emblem has been used in the Fertile Crescent since we began cultivating civilization. Red Apple instead?
