In an exclusive interview with Elex_Michaelson, Gov. Gavin Newsom claims the University of California regents were not consulted about the Bruins leaving the Pac-12. MORE:

In an exclusive interview with FOX 11's Elex Michaelson, Governor Gavin Newsom said the University of California regents were not consulted about the Bruins athletic department leaving the Pac-12 Conference.

"It was done without any regents' oversight or support. It was done without any consideration, to my knowledge," Newsom told Michaelson Thursday. Newsom said while as Governor, it's "not a big deal" he wasn't personally asked by UCLA about the conference realignment, but he did say he has "strong opinions" about the Bruins not giving the UC regents a heads-up.The Governor's interview Thursday comes as UCLA and USC announced last month they will leave the Pac-12 and join the Big Ten in 2024.

Elex_Michaelson Institutionally one of the weakest governorships in the country. I don't mean him; I mean the job.

AaronLevine_ Elex_Michaelson Amazing that this man has been allowed to continue to mismanage California to the point of absurdity. Another example of a politician in way over his head.

Elex_Michaelson Focusing on the real issues in this state.

Elex_Michaelson He looks into a lot of things tho. Doesn't mean that much.

Elex_Michaelson Man, this guy turns bitchy quickly... 'I'm just the governor...State of Cal-...no big deal...' No statement more clearly ID's this guy's ego than that one...

Elex_Michaelson Too bad he doesn’t have that kind of resolve to solve the literacy crisis in public education which would impact the wealth gap 🤡🌎

Elex_Michaelson Newsolini will just say it’s roenah related🤣

Mr. Newsom goes to WashingtonGov. Gavin Newsom is set to accept an education award, slam red states, and talk about abortion, climate change and guns in Washington, D.C. there are several things that Newsom does that I don't like, but I would bet he would be the most viable candidate for president the Dems could put up in 2024. What's wrong with this picture? A pretender supports a treasonist. Just look at their records. Both have more failures & disasters then successes. Dramatically they'll tell you about the work they've done, but all you have to do is look at the results. WeveGotACountryToSave Interesting he’s getting an award for Californias public education system and California is ranked 44th in the nation. That’s 6th from the bottom. What a joke
