Dear The Grauniad, This is obvious! Back in the day one had to be an achiever to get an unconditional offer. Now, one has only to be able to complete the application form and post it to the correct address. 1) Too many (rubbish) universities. 2) Too many (rubbish) courses. A

Not quite unconditional. They still have to stump up £9250 a year.

No duh. They want all that easy Student Loans money that you'll spend the rest of your life trying to pay back.

Most of them don't know that means. :)
