Lady Cougars’ Coach Moore to be honored with retirement, recognition at ceremony

Larry Moore’s career as a girls basketball coach will be honored with a retirement and recognition event at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Evangelene Kimber Gymnasium at Harrisburg High School.

Moore’s coaching career spans more than a decade. In addition to coaching the Lady Cougars, he was an assistant boys basketball coach at Williamsport High School with one boys 6A state championship in 1984 – going 30-0. In the past 16 years, Moore secured a record of 277 wins and 131 losses, and holds Harrisburg’s record of coaching 244 girls basketball career wins.
