A new school dress code banning jeans and hoodies, among other restrictions, is sparking a debate on social media.

Social media feeds in Forney are buzzing this summer about changes for the next school year..

"I may be a little young to understand what professionalism means right now," a girl is heard saying in a video produced by Forney ISD,The most significant changes include no hoodies -- or any clothing with hoods inside the buildings; -- and dresses, skirts and skorts are allowed only through fourth grade. The school district calls the plan"Back for the Future.

N. Texas student fighting district's new dress code thinks dresses should be worn if 'appropriate'The new dress code bans hoodie, dresses, skirts and skorts but many students, and their parents, are not OK with that. Here is what one 10th grader plans to do about it. Can the school explain why schools with uniforms have skirts in their uniform code. How are no skirts, dresses, or skorts going to improve professionalism? Sounds like some sorts of indoctrination.
