The family of the student of the Command Secondary School, Enugu State, who was reportedly flogged to death, has said they will not pursue the case with the Nigerian Army, adding that they have handed the matter to God.
His mother, Adaeze Chibuzo, had taken to Nkanu People of Enugu State Nigeria Facebook platform to share the news with the pictures of the deceased showing a swollen head before his demise. Eneh said that since his son had died, there was nothing that would be done to bring him back to life. "My boy has just died and he is dead. My boy is dead; he is dead and nothing will bring him back so why am I wasting my time. I have every plan to go and bury him so that is it."
This is sad....some parents are stubborn. I pulled my daughter out of command when she kept complaining of beating, she left that school 3 years ago but her body is still full of marks. Parents should always be proactive

Don't blame the family. They've weighed all options and come tp term that there is no justice.
The military could not even open investigations but that the concern must come to report, something is wrong with our system. If it's the parent that kills their children? Who then will defend the defenceless? The state is completely absent from citizens life it's very wrong!

This is so sad..my alma mater in news for another sad episode..a family buried their son who was a Jss2 student quietly after torture from the RSM way back when I was a student .we basically walk on egg shells in Command schools.

To imagine that the boys only crime was not cutting his hair.. I keep saying that command secondary school is brutal. I schooled there and they handle students like animals. Parents pay to huge fees to get their children treated like animals in the hands of soldiers or killed.
