Criticism of the delayed police response continues to mount.

The Justice Department announced Sunday that it will review the law enforcement response to last week’sat an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, a massacre that left 19 children and two teachers dead.

It’s not the first time that the Justice Department has reviewed law enforcement responses to a mass shooting in the wake of such events, the, as was the case after the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida. The reviews, conducted by the recently revamped Collaborative Reform Initiative, are generally “not criminal investigations but a response to a request for help made by local governments to the Justice Department,” per thewhich reports that “a criminal investigation into the Uvalde law enforcement response would not be opened unless evidence emerged that the officers involved violated the law.”

I sincerely hope the parents of those poor victims sue the living fuck out of the City of Uvalde, their so-called 'police department' & the NRA. Don't settle out of court. Sue them till they bleed, shut the town down, take their houses, bank accounts and put them in prison.

Justice Dept. to review response to Texas school shootingIt was not immediately clear how the review would be conducted, whether law enforcement officials could be compelled to cooperate in the review and when it might be completed. The GOP's plan is to offer thoughts & prayers until the outrage dies down, same as they always do. Vote for gun control this November if you want to raise your kids in a safer world. Justice Department to review police response to Uvalde school shootingThe Justice Department announced Sunday it will conduct a review of the law enforcement response to the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. CNN There won’t be much to review then, will there? 🤦‍♂️ I wish the Justice Department had worked this fast on the January 6th insurrection. It’s inexcusable that Trump is holding rallies now…

Crenshaw calls for ‘accountability’ in Uvalde police response: ‘Protocols were not followed’Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, said on CNN Sunday that 'protocols were not followed' in the police response to last week’s mass school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Dan Crenshaw, how much are you receiving from the money laundering of 40b to Zelensky? Basically the cops were being pussies no matter how well armed or funded while Republicans call for schools to arm their teachers Schools must be HARDENED. There should be a single point of entry, guarded by a well-trained individual, possessing at least an XM5 rifle. Teachers must follow protocol and keeps DOORS LOCKED. We should also hire better police officers.
