The government is considering a number of measures to reduce the rising cost of living for households, including a cut to childcare costs for all parents.
Tánaiste Leo Varadkar asked officials to draw up costs in childcare, education, healthcare and transport which would then be considered by Government. Government will also look at the high costs of putting children through college, with a special focus on rural families whose children cannot live at home.
