UUM student’s death still being probed, says Higher Education Minister

The Higher Education Minister said the ministry is waiting for a full lab report on the actual cause of the 21-year-old's death."There are at least three reports – from the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, the Malaysian Chemistry Department and the Royal Malaysia Police – needed to complete a detailed investigation.

"UUM has also given its commitment to the ministry to provide full cooperation with the relevant parties so that a transparent investigation can be carried out properly. "We hope that all parties involved will be patient and wait for the investigation results," she said in a statement on Thursday .On Monday , the second year accounting student was found dead in her hostel room.Kubang Pasu district police chief Supt Rodzi Abu Hassan said the police have classified the case as sudden death.
