Victim of deadly shooting identified as Raines High School football player

Samantha Mathers, Action News JaxJACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The victim of a deadly shooting Monday night has been identified as 18-year-old Rashaud Fields, a football player and recent graduate of Raines High School.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported that a man was killed around 10 p.m. last night at Pine Estates Road but did not identify the victim. Many posted on social media following the news of Fields’ killing, with many saying he had graduated just hours before. Our prayers and condolences to the family, friends and classmates of Viking Rashaud Fields, Class of 2022.

There is no rhyme or reason to senseless actions by Human Beings who prefer to harm rather than help. You cannot anticipate what another person will do. Being in the right place for a wrong act of violence is random and not expected. God Bless this Young Man’s Family.
