PHILADELPHIA — Two teenage siblings were shot and another teen grazed just as a North Philadelphia high school was being dismissed in the city’s Nicetown section. All are students at Simon Gratz High School Mastery Charter.
The school confirmed that the teens — ages 15, 16 and 17 — attend Simon Gratz High School in Nicetown. Police say a 15-year-old boy is in critical condition at Temple University Hospital, while his 16-year-old brother is stable and a 17-year-old was grazed.“We’re not sure of the motive at this point,” Philadelphia Police Capt. John Walker said. “We know we have a burgundy car, not sure of the make and model at this point that’s waiting outside the school and it looks like at dismissal, they confront a few individuals.
“One of my neighbors called and told me that I have five bullet holes on my car,” Smith said. “I’m just disgusted with all this shooting and different things. I lived in this neighborhood for over 40 years.”
