SAN ANTONIO — It was a different time in Texas, when the railroad reigned supreme. Those days may be gone but they're hardly forgotten. Some of the trains are on display at theCenova has loved trains since growing up in New York. He moved to Texas, in part, to help take care of a 1925 steam locomotive at the museum. Another train, also from the 1920s, lets visitors learn a little history.

"We inherited it back in the 80's. This is basically an R-V on steroids," said Cenova as he pointed to the old Santa Fe rail cars. "This is basically a home away from home. There are bedrooms here. The next room is a full bathroom, including a shower.""A vice president, a regional manager, somebody who would take this car down the track and inspect things," said Cenova."A lot of grandparents bring their grandchildren here. They want to show them what it was like in their time. And that's what its all about," said Cenova.
