Grade 9 pupil arrested after fatal school stabbing

Education MEC's spokesperson, Steve Mabona, is pleading with pupils to stop taking the law into their own hands and using violence to solve their problems. #DStv403According to the Gauteng Education Department, the violent incident unfolded at Thaba-Jabula Secondary School.It's understood that a Grade 9 pupil stabbed the deceased while defending his younger brother, who was allegedly being bullied.

It's SO tragic that this pupil did not feel he could simply report the bullying of his younger brother to teachers & have it adequately dealt with, but instead responded with fatal violence!!

That child was defending themselves and here is the department condemning the incident but the bullying.

That's the result of no parental supervision....
