Harrisburg University of Science and Technology CommencementHarrisburg University of Science and Technology held its first in-person commencement ceremony in three years Thursday evening as the Class of 2022 graduates convened at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center.

HU’s alumni will welcome 1,155 new members when the Class of 2022 graduates; that compares to the first one in 2007 that featured nine graduates. The classes of 2020 and 2021, whose commencement ceremonies took place online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, also were invited to participate in what was Harrisburg University’s 15th commencement ceremony.

While the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math fields historically have been filled by men, the school said that this year’s class consists of 50 percent men and 50 percent women.
