Natalie Stokes, 39, of South Weber, was charged Monday in 2nd District Court with one count of unauthorized collecting, sharing or use of private student data, a class A misdemeanor.
According to charges filed against him, Phillip Stokes contacted the young student on TikTok — and then on a texting app — in March 2021, identifying himself as a 16-year-old boy and “aggressively and persistently” demanding that she send him nude photos. She complied, court records state, and Stokes sent her nude photos of himself, as well as other explicit images.
Talking with his wife, Phillip Stokes learned that the girl had a TikTok account, he told police, so he created an account and searched for her “using the information he received.” According to police, he said he “looked up her videos and you know the rest.” On the day of her husband’s arrest, Natalie Stokes was “surprised” when an officer mentioned the victim’s first name, and told officers she worked at the girl’s school, court records state. She said she shared the girl’s name with her husband, and when questioned by investigators, she confirmed she also identified the girl during the passing neighborhood encounter.
