The incident happened on the road between Drimoleague and Skibbereen at around 4pm

Thirty students have escaped unharmed after the school bus they were travelling on veered into a ditch in West Cork this afternoon.

The Bus Eireann bus was carrying 30 pupils when it went off road into a ditch and was left leaning precariously to one side. "Thankfully they all managed to get out the emergency door. It could've been very serious if the bus had gone fully on its side."
