A non-governmental organisation, Concerned Parents and Educators Network, has facilitated the construction and furnishing of a house for a physically challenged teacher, Audu Jiya.

Jiya, a rural area educator and girl child education advocate, lives in Ekpan-Mawo Kataeregi, in the Katcha Local Government Area of Niger State.He said, “After four years of activities in my community, the group came up with a suggestion to build me a personal house and they solicited funds from members both home and abroad. The house is now truly completed. I am happy right now because it’s the first property achievement of my life. I will no longer beg for where to sleep.
