Parents said they're saddened and frustrated. They said this is not an isolated incident and this is what they feared would eventually happen.The school district has confirmed that it was an altercation between two students."I was really sad because I've been advocating for help and support to prevent this from happening," said Dheyanira Calahorrano, the co-chair of the PTA and the mother of another 13-year-old who attends the school.
The school district said in a written statement, "When a serious incident occurs, we attend to the immediate safety of students involved, communicate directly with their families, and determine the appropriate supports, interventions, and consequences." She said her 12-year-old son has been beaten by other students twice. The most recent incident took place Friday. The attack left a cut on her son's arm.
Parents said the conflicts often involve kids bullying Latino students who are new to the U.S. and speak little English.Calahorrano said two music teachers who quit told her they were overwhelmed by students misbehaving, and one teacher said he was attacked.
Their parents are in the streets selling drugs, robbing, burglarizing and burning the city, why would the kids be any different?
Its obvious that the school & law dont want to do anything about it. Per usual. Unfortunately violence will continue because the people who can stop it just wont So not only can 13 year olds bully other students, the parents can bully local police and the school itself. Pathetic

Until mental health counseling/assessments are implemented into education programs, it is only going to get worse. In our society today, hate is enormous. Mental health groups are needed in our schools for tbe sake of addressing the issues kids are facing today.
Progressives love their bullies, class clowns, and disrespecting elderly kids in public schools , just like how they cuddle zombies and criminals while kicking victims, residents, teachers aside and pretend they don't exist.

Students are targeting Latino immigrant kids all school year? This unequivocally unacceptable & it’ll be interesting to find out if school officials reached out to district and asked for help or not. Teachers complained & warned school officials and finally quit because of it.
This happens because no one is held accountable not the school leaders, not the government everyone is afraid to do or say anything because it turns into lawsuits. Everyone is good with it until it happens to your child or parent, or family member. My heart goes out to the parent

That is not a school. that is a zoo. 9 teachers quitted. beat up immigrant kids. teachers got attacked and no one has been arrested or charge for criminal activity? The zookeeper/principal here need to fired. zero accountability. just collect paycheck and call it a day.
We kept their school closed for 1 1/3 school years and cancelled all of their activities. What could possibly go wrong?

The school sounds like it has serious problems and is not addressing the issues. The parents of the victim need to lawyer up. Kids that can not behave in school should be expelled from the district. There should be no tolerance to any abuse. They failed that poor child.
