Both major parties are making a play for Lingiari in the NT’s outback, where just 38 per cent of people aged between 20 and 24 have finished year 12.

The fight to form government has taken both major parties to the Northern Territory, where they are battling to win over voters in an electorate that looks very different to other battleground seats.

Labor’s Warren Snowdon has held Lingiari since the seat was created in 2001, when the NT’s single lower house seat was split into two separate electorates – Lingiari and Solomon.
