The problem is stories like what happened at USC. That woman gave visual evidence that she planned on sleeping with this man and then claimed rape. I feel for the victims but sometimes they are the accused. I don’t know, tough to make a statement on this one.
Maybe I'm just an old fashioned liberal, but I believe criminal defendants and those accused of serious crimes, whether on a college campus or not, ought to be accorded due process rights. It's hard to see how this proposal does anything more than that.
I sincerely believe the outraged among us are being a little over the top. As much as many don't like it, the accused have as many rights as the accuser.

I’m conflicted on this. Both the accused and accuser need a fair field. That said both must have a fair field. Just because one makes an accusation should be not proof of guilt. But I have daughters and I can understand why they would not choose to subject themselves.
