Impassable road fixed after pupils take action

When the 25 pupils, two parents who work at the Curry’s Post Primary School and a taxi driver returned from school on Tuesday, they filled the large potholes on the D293 district road with stones that they had collected in the area. Curry’s Post is 25km from Howick, a town located in the uMngeni District Municipality.

The road runs over a dam, but there is a burst water pipe inside the dam wall which further weakens the road. Hedley, who is in charge of the library and reading groups, said: “They are lovely children. When they are asked to do something, they do it. I am so sorry that they don’t have better opportunities.”

The poor are living like that, but when the votes come they can fix it but not for the people who are living there, for them to go there to tell people lies about themselves

BrendaWardle ❤🙂💕

if every South African helped themselves instead of expecting the government to do and provide everything for them for free including, housing, education transport, medical, food clothing, food etc - people wouldn’t live in filth and wouldn’t need to swim across flooded bridges

Im a carpenter I got retrenched in 2020. Im struggling to find employment. My children often cry themselves to sleep because they sleep hungry😭. I don't feel like a man because of that💔. I ask for any food nearing their expiry date🙏🏻
