Garsfontein made history by claiming a first-ever win over Pretoria rivals Affies, while Paul Roos claimed a win over Grey High School in the first Premier Interschools match of the year on Saturday.

In the first match between Garsfontein and Affies since 2010, it was the Turquoise Bears who held on for a 20-19 win, after leading 20-7 at half time.
