NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet addresses the media in the M4-M5 Link tunnel.on Thursday in the newly sealed WestConnex M4-M5 Link tunnel beneath Newtown, Mr Perrottet said while that motorway project was on time and on budget, several other projects risked cost increases.
The government expects more than 100,000 vehicles to use the WestConnex motorway each day once it is completed. The government plans to build a multibillion-dollar motorway tunnel under Sydney Harbour, connecting the Rozelle interchange to North Sydney. While NSW was not alone in experiencing increased costs across major projects, Mr Perrottet said its mammoth $108 billion infrastructure pipeline meant the state would inevitably be more affected than others.
