Kids were bringing in an "excessive" amount of snacks, so the school is now enforcing limits. A school in Pennsylvania has begun enforcing limits on snacks as of today.
Aliquippa Junior/Senior High School students will now only be allowed to bring chip bags of a certain size, among other new snack rules.how the school decided to enforce such snack regulations due to the gross amount of snacks being brought in by students. So, as a means to curb this excessive snacking, students are now only allowed to bring in bags of chips that are up to 4 ounces and are limited to one closed drink of up to 20 ounces.
“Due to the excessive amount of outside snacks being brought to school , we will now be limiting what a student can bring,” reads a post published to“Also, if a student packs a lunch, these same guidelines are to be followed and lunches will be searched as well.” “I’ve seen some of the snacks kids are bringing in when I drop my daughter off,” tells one parent, Janisha Walker, to Channel 11. “I’m asking my daughter like, ‘Are they setting up a small store? Why are they carrying a variety box of chips and two liters of soda into the school?’”
I wonder if the school gets a percentage of anything sold via the vending machines? 🤔
