The 2022 Global State of Crypto report, released by cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, found that Irish people are the most 'crypto-curious' in the world followed by Germany, Colombia and the UK.The report also shows that 18% of Irish people currently own or have previously owned cryptocurrency, which is a similar level of ownership compared to countries such as the UK, Germany, Australia and the US.
79% of Irish investors are holding their cryptocurrency for long-term gains while 39% are actively trading their crypto. It was founded in 2014 in the US by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss and the company recently secured an Electronic Money Institution licence from the Central Bank.
