The dads learning to plait their daughters' hair

Image source,John Hardern, who has four long-haired daughters aged 10, 8, 6, and 4, says it "doesn't matter to them which parent is doing it"

"It made me think society has such a long way to go," he says. "When I realised what I was thinking, I thought I'm definitely doing it".All the men "wanted to be there and really got into it", Ms Waugh says Tim Angove says his nine-year-old daughter taught herself how to plait from a very young age and "wouldn't let me anywhere near her hair"."I thought, if I can turn round and say, 'I know how to do this', there was a better chance she'd let me because I'm qualified.

BREAKING

Considering many classes are for women or mums only it's no surprise that the ones that allow dads are sell outs as there are so few of them compared to ones open to mum's only

Patronising crap, always did it.

Milenial Dad's 🤜🤛

This isn’t news this is olds.

News....apparently

The bar is on the floor.

This is a news story? I see your hair plait & raise it a ballet bun.

I plaited my daughter’s hair from an early age (hers, not mine). It was good enough that old ladies on the bus would ask me to do theirs too. I demurred for I am shy.

A class? Seriously. 🙄

Simps

When I went into hospital for just over a week for surgery, my daughter was 11yrs. She had very long hair, needing plaiting. Husband gave it a go, daughter frustrated, resulting in husband going to neighbour to ask her to plait my daughter’s hair! 😂😂

I need to join this!

Obviously not ‘news’ for some, but learning this witchcraft slowly, as a dad of 2 girls.

Sexist. Imagine the headline 'the mums learning to do dad jobs' Parliament Square would be rammed.

I’m I did this 25 years ago. It’s not hard.

I’ve been plaiting my daughters hair for years.

Please dad's avoid this. Let's mum's and aunties do it.
