JOHOR BARU - A glare between two rival gang members triggered a melee during a charity carnival event, which resulted in the death of a 21-year-old at a school in Skudai here. Johor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Kamaluddin Kassim said the incident at around 12.30pm on Sunday - started when the deceased, identified as Chia Min Yong, physically attacked one of the suspects. They both glared at each other and a screaming match ensued right before the fight between both gangs erupted, he said when contacted here yesterday.
