“I think that it’s very important that we’re able to communicate and teach our kids a way to be able to communicate in the language,” Martinez said. “If you work in education, if you work in medical, there’s always a translator needed. So culture-wise, and it’s also important to me career-wise.” Dallas ISD has spots open right now to join its Dual Language Education Program. Richie Heffernan is the executive director of the district’s Dual Language and ESL Department. He said 33,000 students are enrolled right now, but soon, the district is expanding.
“So looking at expanding that, I think, is definitely an area where there is room for growth,” Heffernan said.“The cooking is different. The way they speak. The sounds. It’s so beautiful to learn different languages,” Martinez said.

They now all have the chance to go to college. It would be nice if wealthy people give Older Americans grants to go to college after being laid off.Many of us were laid off, over 40-50 and in debt 60-100k too.The older Americans are encouraged to go to school but grants/scholarships are for FTE students mainly and young ones.
